Radiographer | Scientific Committee Member, SORK | Head of Programs, ARSPN
Sandra Afwande is a Radiographer at Reliance Hospital with two years of professional experience in medical imaging. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Radiography from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT).
She has a keen professional interest in Ultrasound and Nuclear Medicine, with a strong commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and expanding opportunities within the medical imaging profession.
Sandra is a member of the Scientific Sub-Committee of the Society of Radiography in Kenya (SORK), where she contributes to scientific and professional activities, including the coordination of educational and scientific programmes.
She is also a member and Head of Programs at ARSPN, where she contributes to initiatives focused on improving access to opportunities, professional development, and exposure for new and emerging professionals in the field.
In addition to her role at Reliance Hospital, Sandra is currently volunteering in the Nuclear Medicine department at Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital (KUTRRH), where she is gaining practical experience and further developing her interest in Nuclear Medicine.
Her professional interests include medical imaging, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, research, professional development, mentorship, and creating opportunities for emerging professionals.
