Medical Radiographers

Medical radiographers, also known as radiologic technologists or radiographers, are healthcare professionals trained to perform diagnostic imaging examinations on patients. They work in hospitals, clinics, and other medical settings to produce high-quality images of the internal structures of the human body using various imaging modalities, such as X-rays, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and ultrasound.

These professionals play a crucial role in helping physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions by providing detailed images that aid in the detection of injuries, diseases, and abnormalities. Medical radiographers are responsible for positioning patients correctly for imaging procedures, operating sophisticated imaging equipment, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.

In addition to performing imaging examinations, medical radiographers are also responsible for maintaining imaging equipment, monitoring radiation exposure levels, and adhering to strict safety protocols to minimize radiation risks for patients and themselves.
